I’m one of the minority who is a captain for a major US airline who didn’t get the jab. I was ready to be fired before submitting to this nonsense. I also wrote to the company health officer in summer 2021 about the obvious risk to pilots regarding thrombosis issues that we knew of at the time with these Covid injections. It was like talking to a wall.
First I have to say I’ve flown 2 million miles on Delta internationally so I do have experience. Flying economy for long distance is bloody miserable. Even on short 3-4 hour flights. I think an unhealthy person could have problems. I flew business class so I had plenty of room to stretch.
But the pilots are able to get up and move around. US to Europe or Asia typically have 3 pilots so one can rest. Further more a computer does most of the actual flying and there always is a copilot so I’m not so worried about a plane crash.
Maybe things like this will open people’s eyes to the Covid vaccines and SDS.
