Who knows what’s REALLY happening with all those weapons we’re sending to Ukraine. I read that groups in North Africa are buying a lot of it. Japan could, perhaps, clandestinely purchase some of those lots to help their efforts.
Japan has the technology, and likely enough fissile material, to rapidly assemble a nuclear arsenal. That's assuming they don't already have one...
