Germans already pay about 4.5x more in electric costs when compared to citizens in the United States.
Only one nuclear reactor — a 15 year+ project that is not yet complete (and 10b/euro [ten billion euros] over budget) — is being built across all of Europe.
If you’re in the United States — take your electricity bill and double it, then double it again, and then double it again. If you pay $100/mo — it will cost over $400. If you pay $200/mo — it will cost over $800/mo. Or substantially higher during spikes.
Suggest you look up your state and see what percentage of energy comes from solar/wind already, what is coming down the pipe, and plan accordingly.
These systems will not be able to sustain baseload energy generation needs.
