EXCLUSIVE ANALYSIS: Frontlines of Russia vs. Ukraine
Something to be thankful for on New Years Day, as long as you aren't on the frontlines..
In trying to get to the bottom of something (‘who currently controls the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station?’) I discovered a small update that, in context, speaks to the pathetic nature of ‘modern warfare’ at scale. At least in very-eastern Europe.
While I did not get to the bottom of that original question.. And some wise, keyed in folks don’t seem to know the answer either, the other finding is worth noting.
Ask yourself:
What is truly happening on the frontlines of the conflict in Ukraine? What is life like for soldiers on opposite sides of the line-of-control?
Is there a ‘real’ conflict? The answer is yes. But the way in which it is being conducted is simply … breathtakingly pathetic.

Look at this patch of blue where this Ukrainian ‘counteroffensive’ against Russian forces took place. Study it deeply.
This is the approximately the same area (zoomed out a little) via Google Maps — in a satellite view. The blue area — now reclaimed by Ukraine — is comprised of several farms.
The truth is that the war along the line-of-control is that it is simply … very much like WWI.
It is trench warfare.
With drones and highly advanced precision targeting systems. With mechanized brigades on either side of the line interspersed throughout.
It is, at the same time, quite pathetic.
There are farmers caught in the middle here. This is rural, farming territory being fought over. Hundreds of feet at a time. There are ‘human wave’ attacks being conducted — just like during WWI.
But why? There’s no good answer. Perhaps the most reasonable explanation is that, on the Russian side, the Officer Corps model (which has not been substantially modernized) treats war as if it were still the 20th century. The doctrine of the Russian Officer Corps is fundamentally incompatible with a modern Western understanding of warfare — which primarily operates at the ‘squad’ level.
At the risk of sounding pessimistic, this is just the type of practical Casus belli needed to push for a One World Government. Hear them say:
‘Look at how ungovernable you are, with borders and nations. We can fix this by removing nations from the equation. No borders? No border conflicts. No trench warfare. We can help you avoid all that.’
World Government types will rejoice at the chance to point out how a simple conflict over borders escalated in such dramatic fashion and returned the state of human conflict to … trench warfare.
Entirely pathetic.
Ukraine and Russia better settle this one out quickly, otherwise — as usual, it’s gonna get way worse.
I suggest you follow "The Duran" for a more informed understanding of what is going on in UKR. This is not a war between the Russians and the UKR, but really a war against the Azovs, neo-Nazis who have been terrorizing the Russians in the Donbas/Luhansk regions. Furthermore, as Angela Murkel let out a few weeks ago, the Minsk agreements were a scheme by the West/NATO to hold off until they could equip UKR to do their bidding. So, without getting into details...Russia gave plenty of warning, and with the rising terror directed by these Azov battalions at the Russians since 2014, the time came for a reckoning. This is not a war primarily about territory (ie. Russia trying to get more land), although it includes it. This is about demilitarizing the UKR who is fighting a proxy war on behalf of the West, mainly the UK and the USA...although it's far more complex that this.
We are seeing the lies exposed that the West has been giving us (I'm sure there are some on the Russian side too). It's far more complicated than just taking land.
Aye, things could be worse but sometimes doing nothing is far worse. Russia made a choice, act now over later. This is primarily the ongoing global economic war to retain US control of their Ponzi petrodollar, that created a civil war that turned into a multinational conflict with nuclear potential. 8 years of jerking Donetsk & Luhansk off with Minsk Accord(ion) lies & deceptions enabled UKR forces to completely surround the Donbass region with trenches & bunkers, mine fields, fire zones. UKR defence is patterned as an update of their military mentors, the "not sees", executed in a slow losing retreat from 1943 till Berlin fell. Uninformed majority see Russia as militarily weak or out of ammo which is ludicrous. (anecdote-Luhansk arty "ran out!" of shells marked 1974, so now using 1976 stock, limitless supply... ) Russians are slow & methodical out gunning UKR artillery @ 6 to 1. Only then do they advance. Claims of "mass attacks" is ww2 propaganda rehashed today. There is no other simple way to defeat this type of defence, short of tac nukes😵. As for Bakmut, Russians are in no great rush to capture as it is a meat grinder that UKR conveniently feeds with men & eqmt in a losing cause. Russia spared destroying Ukr Energy & electric infrastructure until this fall but the gloves are off now. The new year will be what it will be. So it goes...
