YouTube follows a very consistently inconsistent content moderation policy that goes something like this.

1. YouTube hall monitors identify an account posting ThoughtCrime.

2. Hall monitors apply ‘age-restricted content label’ to dramatically lower non-logged in/verified viewership of content.

3. Content from the channel becomes algorithmically deboosted & potentially removed from search — shadowbanning.

   1. Sometimes, the hall monitors will even helpfully unsubscribe followers of the channel.

4. YouTube censors begin applying ‘strikes’ to an account when content is deemed to be in violation of YouTube terms of service. Multiple hits lead to…

5. The account is then banned entirely.

This is the pattern — from LITE-censorship, to the more heavy handed bans — that many YouTube accounts have followed.
